Frederick Ho, MD
K. Frederick Ho, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellow of American College of Surgeons. He has extensive experience
in treatment and surgery of eye diseases in adults and children. He has been in private practice since 1987, specializing
in Cataract Surgery, Lens Implant, Laser Surgery, Glaucoma Treatment, Diabetic Eye Disease, and Eye Lid Surgery. In addition,
he has a special interest in children's medical and surgical eye care.
Dr. Ho graduated with honors from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. He earned his medical degree
from Washington University-St. Louis, and completed his ophthalmology residency at Barnes Hospital and Washington University
Medical Center in St. Louis. He then pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Children's Hospital in Washington
D.C., the most prestigious program for pediatric ophthalmology in the U.S.
Dr. Ho is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American College of Surgeons. He regularly attends meetings
on the advances and new treatments of eye disease. He also consults with pediatricians and primary care physicians on the
management of complicated eye conditions.
Dr. Ho participates in many community services including the Hope Clinic, providing care to the less fortunate. He was
recognized as a Grand Commander by the Knights Templar Eye Foundation for his volunteer work in ophthalmology and eye surgery.
He serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the local Brevard County Chapter of Lupus Foundation and Association for the Advancement
of the Blind. Through Project ORBIS, whose mission is to improve
eye care in developing countries, Dr. Ho taught and performed
surgery in China on a jet equipped with operating room.
